“Lab to Learn,” a New Way to Create Tailored Courses

Sometimes challenges force you to pause for a moment and ask yourself:

Are we doing this right? Can we do it better? Have our clients’ needs changed?

A few months ago, we began asking ourselves these very questions — and soon discovered that this challenge was opening the door to new business ideas.

We’re about to introduce one of them. Discover how this process began, the challenges we identified, and how solving them led us to create “Lab to Learn.”

Many people believe that facing a professional challenge means failure — a disappointment that could damage a company’s reputation.

At CMC, we see challenges as a turning point: the moment to significantly change course in search of a new horizon.

One concept we believe is essential for any business is corporate resilience. Why? Because it allows you to face unexpected challenges and changes while adapting — and thriving — along the way.

We go even further: some adversities can become the perfect opportunity to grow and innovate. To improve step by step, even if those steps are small. To transform necessity into something innovative — both for us and for the clients we already serve, as well as those yet to come. Listening closely to our current market and the one we aspire to reach has been key to this process.

After all, growth is not just about doing more — it’s about doing things differently.

A New Idea Is Born

We live in times of constant change. Who would have imagined back in 2020 that face masks and hand sanitizer would be out of stock everywhere? Now it feels like centuries ago, doesn’t it?

At CMC, the way we delivered continuing medical education changed dramatically. The physical format of our publications disappeared, and we dedicated 100% of our efforts to online programs.

We spent countless hours designing a tool that would allow us to create e-learning courses that were intuitive and accessible for all types of users. For many months, we gave our very best to develop our own technology.

Finally, in the spring of 2021, that product came to life and became what we affectionately call our “cellar.”

Each program is cared for like a unique “vintage,” and every learning experience helps us refine the next production.

However, as we mentioned earlier, times change — and so do the needs of healthcare professionals. Some feel overwhelmed by the number of learning platforms available, while others prefer to focus their efforts on patient care and education.

That’s when we realized we needed to act.

The Real Challenge in the Sector

Why do so many institutions want to create educational programs but don’t know where to start?

How many promising projects remain just ideas?

What barriers stand in the way?

These were some of the questions we began asking ourselves midway through last year. We knew client priorities were shifting and that new needs were emerging, so we rolled up our sleeves and dove into research. What we discovered was truly insightful:

  • The importance of having robust technological environments.

  • Understanding that designing education involves more than transferring content to a screen — it requires methodology, technology, and pedagogical vision.

  • Ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.

  • Gaining deeper insight into how professionals learn in order to continuously improve.

These needs called for a timely solution.

And that is how “Lab to Learn” was born.

Welcome to Lab to Learn

Don’t worry — the “cellar” concept is still part of our methodology. But we wanted to bring a more scientific touch to our laboratory of ideas for medical education.

A laboratory open to anyone with an idea but without the resources to bring it to life. A space to experiment, create, and design tailored education with expert guidance throughout the entire process.

We provide the science, technology, and experience. You bring the knowledge.

Purpose-Driven Technology

You might be thinking, “This isn’t the first time I’ve heard something like this.” And you’d be right.

But there is a significant difference between simply owning technology and creating technology with purpose.

Our platform has been designed around how healthcare professionals truly learn and train. And we speak from experience — for over fifteen years, we have helped thousands of participants develop their skills and achieve their educational goals.

Ongoing Expert Support

We have also worked closely with expert key opinion leaders who are deeply committed and consistently keep us informed about priorities and emerging changes.

Many have expressed a desire to create educational programs for both their students and their patients. Yet understandably, they often lack the time and specialized knowledge required to organize, promote, manage, and troubleshoot a course.

That is why Lab to Learn offers genuine support.

We don’t just rent out our technology — we provide technical assistance, tailored guidance, and continuous monitoring.

Data-Driven Education

We never jump in blindly. Metrics guide everything we do.

These insights allow us to refine our programs, understand what generates the most interest within the platform, identify the best days to publish content or send newsletters, and optimize content development.

Our metrics are as essential to us as the periodic table is to a laboratory.

Fully Customized Programs

A program built by you and for you — with your ideas, preferences, content, vision, and goals.

It’s yours.

We simply help you bring it to life.
